15/02/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Council gave the green light, without any debate, to the gradual and conditional resumption of co-operation with Fiji. This decision followed positive developments in the political arena (free and democratic elections and the forming of a new government). All intended projects under the 7th and 8th EDF will be implemented and the Fijian authorities will be subsequently notified of the funding they will receive under the 9th EDF.
