04/02/2002 (Agence Europe) - Former Spanish Prime Minister Felipe Gonzalez said during a meeting organised by the SPOe that the European Union is moving towards a new European directorate. According to Europa Press, taken up by Reuters, the former Socialist leader declared: "This is what awaits us over the next few years with enlargement. I don't like directorates, but if they have to exist then I would not like Spain not to be there, but I assure you we shall not be there".
