ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) machinery

France's MANITOU (EUR 770.8 million turnover in 2001) has increased its 34% stake in TIE to 40%. TIE is MANITOU's joint venture with Japan's TOYOTA for manufacturing industrial lifts. The company will be investing EUR 2.6 million to raise its stake.
