Seminars and other events in January and February

Brussels, 17/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - The following conferences and debates on European issues are being organised in the second half of January and the month of February:

European Forum on the Aarhus Convention in Brussels on 19/21 January, organised by the European Environmental Bureau, which will look at the ratification of the Convention and the protocols that are currently being prepared, such as the protocol on assessing environment strategies or the regiester of transfers (Mara Silina, EEB in Brussels. Working dinner of the British Chamber of Commerce in Belgium in Brussels on 23 January on the Launch of the Euro with the Belgian Finance Minister Didier Reynders.(Tel.(Brussels) 02 540 9030).

The British Chamber of Commmerce is also organising A Driving Satefy Day in Nivelles on 25 January and a conference on Internet Security and Cyber-Crime on 29 January.

Conference on European Defence R&D: Time for Action? in Brussels on 24 January, organised by GPC International, with the participation of the former DSACEUR Sir Rupert Smith, the executive Vice-President of EADS Tom Endersen, Elmar Brok MEP and the President of the WEU Assembly Klaus Bühler.
