EU condemns attack on Indian Parliament - 13 December, Belgian Presidency made the following declaration on behalf of EU

Brussels, 19/12/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Union vehemently condemns the violent terrorist attack that was carried out in New Delhi on Thursday 13 December 2001 against the Parliament of the Republic of India, causing the loss of several lives and injury to many innocent people. The European Union deplores this loss of human lives, and wishes to express its indignation that this attack was directed against the very institution that represents democracy and the rule of law.
