Merger between Muzzik and Mezzo is cleared

Brussels, 10/12/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has cleared the merger of the French music channels Mezzo (Lagardère and Vivendi-Universal group) and Muzzik (France Telecom And France Television). These channels broadcast by cable and satellite programmes devoted to classical music, jazz and world music in France and several Member States. The agreement, which was notified to the Commission on 5 November, provides for Mezzo to acquire Muzzik through merger-takeover. After the...
