Diamantopoulou and Spidla note transposition of social acquis is well advanced in Czech Republic

Brussels, 05/11/2001 (Agence Europe) - Anna Diamantopoulou, Social Policy and Employment Commissioner, met Czech Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Spidla and his Labour Minister, Miroslav Fuchs, on 29 October in Brussels. Mr Spidla presented the state of progress of work towards his country's accession, mainly concerning chapter 13 (employment and social policy), and the progress already made in transposing the body of law on social issues.
