23/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has elected Dutch Liberal Elly Plooij-van Gorsel unopposed as Vice-President, taking over from fellow Dutch Liberal Jan Kees Wiebenga who has been appointed as a member of the Dutch cabinet.
