Common position on reducing pollution of cold start of certain utility vehicles

Brussels, 23/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - Without debate, the Council adopted its "common position" on the proposal aimed at reducing air pollution by emissions of vehicle engines (amending directive 70/220/EEC), establishing limits for low temperature emissions for certain light utility vehicles and small vans not covered by the auto-oil legislation in force. Concerned here are: new types of light utility vehicles Category N1, class II (weighing between 1,305 and 1,760 kg) and class III...
