Commission to grant EUR 114.1 million for regenerating nine urban areas of Germany

Brussels, 18/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, the European Commission approved nine regeneration programmes for urban areas in Germany under the Community initiative URBAN II. Total EU aid of over EUR 114 million (FEDER) will be released to finance the programmes in 2001-2006, to which will be added German public and private sector investment.
