Brussels, 04/10/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is said to be preparing to condemn the American-German group, DaimlerChrysler, to a fine of DM 80-180 million, for having prohibited dealers from selling cars at reduced prices abroad. We recall that the automobile manufacturer is accused of having breached European rules by systematically preventing its dealers in Germany, Belgium, Spain and the Netherlands from selling cars to non-residents in these Member States.
