Strasbourg, 25/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe had adopted several texts intended to strengthen international cooperation to combat crime more effectively and to ensure the security of citizens, in the dual concern of respecting human rights and of having an effective criminal justice system. This is the second additional protocol to the European Convention for judicial cooperation in criminal matters as well as two recommendations on the European code of police ethics and the main guidelines for fighting against organised crime.
