Adoption of Ojeda Sanz report on rail statistics

Brussels, 10/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament has agreed to adopt as it stands a report by Juan Ojeda Sanz (EEP/ED Spain) on a Regulation designed to modernise EU rules for producing Community rail statistics figures. The new Regulation updates rules that have been applied since 1980 so that it now covers goods transport and takes account of the sector's restructuring process in its list of rail administrations.
