Ms de Palacio and Mr Deleuze welcome adoption of Renewable Energy Directive

Brussels, 10/09/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Friday, the Council formally adopted the Directive on promoting the use of energy from Renewable Energy Sources (RES) in the internal market, thereby confirming the agreement reached with the EP in July after the conciliation procedure (see EUROPE of 6 July 2001, p. 13).
