ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) tourism

The German toruism group PREUSSAG has sold its gas and oil drilling subsidiary DEUTAG (turnover Euros 394 millions in 1999-2000 with a staff of 2,400) to Scottish company ABBOT for around Euro 210 million. This acquisition should allow ABBOT to become one of the world's major players in the gas and oil exploration sector.
