Commission authorises Ford to take control of Mazda's wholesale distribution in United Kingdom

Brussels, 30/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Friday, the European Commission authorised Ford to acquire the control of the activities of the MCL group, which concerns the wholesale distribution of new tourism and light utility vehicles of the Mazda brand in the United Kingdom. The acquisition of this activity will enable Ford to carry out the vertical integration of the wholesale distribution of vehicles and spare parts and accessories corresponding to the Mazda brand in the United Kingdom.
