Commission continues several procedures for failure to respect environmental directives and closes a procedure against Greece

Brussels, 30/07/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Monday, the European Commission decided to continue, through the sending of motivated opinions, the procedures initiated against: - Denmark, for failure to transpose into national law certain provisions of the Directive on packaging waste; - the United Kingdom and Austria for failure to respect the directive on used oils; - Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Greece, Spain and Portugal for failure in their obligation to adopt the...
