ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) telecommunications

TELECOM ITALIA has reached an agreement with the media group NEWS CORP owned by Rupert Murdoch to sell him the 50% that it owns within the Italian pay TV STREAM. This channel, held jointly by TELECOM ITALIA and NEWS CORP, is in negotiation with the other Italian pay TV channel TELEPIU (French group CANAL+), with a view to merger.
