Council to try to reach agreement on three texts of "telecommunications package" (universal service, data protection, radio spectrum)

Brussels, 25/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Telecommunications Ministers, gathered in Luxembourg on Wednesday under the Chairmanship of Bjorn Rosengren, will devote the greatest part of their meeting to a political debate on the "telecommunications package" attempting to adapt electronic communications legislation to technological developments, for which the Commission would like adoption by the end of the year.
