Chemische Werke Piesteritz under investigation

Brussels, 20/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has initiated an investigation into aid granted to Chemische Werke Piesteritz GmbH. Producer of phosphoric steel and by-products in Saxony-Anhalt, in 1994 CWP took over the "phosphoric products" branch of the former firm Stickstoffwerke AG Wittenberg-Piesteritz held at the time by the Treuhandanstalt.
