20/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Metalworker's Federation (FEM) and the metal trade unions from France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy and Spain, have announced that they will fight to defend the interests of workers in the face of the massive Usinor-Arbed and Aceralia merger. During a conference on Monday in Luxembourg, the emphasis was notably placed on the creation of a permanent European platform for social dialogue coordinated by the FEM.
