Brussels, 08/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Friday in Brussels, on behalf of the Swedish EU Council Presidency, Swedish Defence Minister Björn von Sydow met his Russian counterpart Serguei Ivanov (who had just taken part in a meeting with NATO Defence Ministers). Mr von Sydow informed the Russian Defence Minister of the latest ESPD (European Security and Defence Policy) developments, while Mr Ivanov presented Moscow's views on European crisis management, it is stated in a press release. We recall that, during the last EU/Russia summits, it was decided that consultation should be developed on security issues and, above all, on crisis management.
