GENERAL NEWS / (eu) council of europe

08/06/2001 (Agence Europe) - Following the institutional reform approved by the Committee on ministers of the Council of Europe in 2000, the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe (CPLRE) has elected its first Executive Director, for a 5-year term of office. It is the Swiss Rinaldo Locatelli (61), who has managed the CPLRE Secretariat since 1995.
