ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) air

The German airline company LUFTHANSA has sold its airport services subsidiary GLOBEROUND to the French company PENAUILLE POLYSERVICES (consolidated turnover EUR 923 million in 2000 with nearly 40,000 employed) for the sum of EUR 370 million. This acquisition will make the French group the largest provider of airport services in the world operating in 199 airports and 39 countries with a total turnover of over EUR 1.5 billion and 63,000 employed.
