ECB "optimistic" about chances of growth in euro-zone - presentation of annual report at Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs

Brussels, 02/05/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, with the publication of its annual report (2000), the European Central Bank (ECB) noted its confidence about the growth prospects of the euro zone. ECB Vice-president Christian Noyer, who presented the report to the European Parliament's Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs, said he was "optimistic about price stability in the euro zone for the coming years".
