Equal programme for Austria

Brussels, 27/04/2001 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday, Anna Diamantopoulou, European Commissioner responsible for employment and social affairs, approved the new Community initiative EQUAL for Austria, to be implemented for the 2001-2006 period. Under this programme, the European Social Fund (Esf) will release 102 million euro for the development of new ways of fighting discrimination and inequality in the field of employment.
