Commission revolts against allegations that it took part in anti-Jewish hate campaign

Brussels, 27/04/2001 (Agence Europe) - Gunnar Wiegand, spokesman for European Commissioner Chris Patten, formally denied, on Friday, the allegations contained in an article of the weekly, European Voice, of 26 April, whereby the Commission had taken part in an "anti-Jewish hate campaign" through its financial support for Palestinian school books.
