Committee on Constitutional Affairs to vote on 3 May

Brussels, 23/04/2001 (Agence Europe) - The Committee on Constitutional Affairs, chaired by Giorgio Napolitano (Italian, Democratici di sinistra) has postponed the voted on the Memderz de Vigo-Seguro report on the Treaty of Nice and Post Nice to the afternoon of 3 May. Plenary will have to vote on some 380 amendments on this lengthy resolution - 49 points - tabled by members of the Spanish Partido Popular and Portuguese Socialist Party (see EUROPE of 19 April, p.3, for the explanatory...
