Brussels, 23/04/2001 (Agence Europe) - As we indicated earlier, there has been denial of the rumours whereby the German government had formally requested certain EU Member States to reopen membership talks on the "free provision of services" chapter with the candidate countries of Central and Eastern Europe with which this chapter had been provisionally closed (Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Estonia, Slovenia).
