20/04/2001 (Agence Europe) - The MEP member of the Bonino list, Olivier Dupuis reacted strongly to the declaration by the Swedish Presidency expressing the EU's concern at the "Maoist insurgency in Nepal" (see EUROPE of 18 April, p.5). The Belgian MEP elected in Italy states that: "For now, the Union is concerned for Nepal. We'd like it to concern itself. Quickly and seriously. The task will be all the more arduous in that the Commission, for budgetary reasons (…), is not present there....
