ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) energy

The Italian State announced its desire to move below the 50% mark in the electricity group ENEL and to withdraw from the capital of the ENI oil group. It still owns more than 68 % of ENEL and around 30 % of the ENI capital. Privatisation has enabled the Italian State to earn EUR 82.46 billion since 1996.
