Budgetary Committee may accept new Commission compromise on Thursday on transfer of unused funds from structural actions - agreement on Council's supplementary budget

Brussels, 04/04/2001 (Agence Europe) - The question of adjusting financial perspectives for taking into account the non-implementation of funds devoted to structural actions has still not been resolved, because of the reservation expressed by the Council regarding the compromise presented by the European Parliament after the budgetary "trilogue" last Thursday. Furthermore, the Council's draft correcting and supplementary budget was adopted on Wednesday by Coreper.
