- France: According to Datar (Délégation à l'amélioration du territoire et à l'action régionale), the announcements for foreign investments generating jobs in France beat all the records in 2000. These investments (industry and services to companies) cover some 563 projects, or 26% more than the previous year, and should create 35,359 new positions.
