Legal import and implementation of new rules for football world to be formally approved on 5 July

Brussels, 07/03/2001 (Agence Europe) - At the close of discussions relating to the new rules governing international transfers of football players (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.9), an exchange of letters between European Competition Commissioner Mario Monti and FIFA President Mr Blatter clarified the legal import of what had been agreed and the developments to follow.
