Pedro Solbes congratulates Ireland for its preparations for changeover to euro

Loughrea, 20/02/2001 (Agence Europe) - Commissioner Pedro Solbes, responsible for economic and monetary affairs, took part on Monday at a meeting in Loughrea, in Ireland, devoted to preparing the changeover to single currency. On this occasion, Mr Solbes congratulated Ireland on its preparations that are above the European average according to the results of the latest European Commission survey.
