Mrs Lenoir discusses development of knowledge in human genetics - Assessment and prospects from European Ethics Group

Brussels, 31/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament's Temporary Committee on Human Genetics, Chaired by the Luxembourg Socialist Robert Goebbels had, Tuesday, an exchange of views with the President of the European Ethics Group. Outlining the main themes of her activity reports 1998-2000, Noelle Lenoir, recalled that this multidisciplinary group formed of 12 independent members was created in 1991 to provide opinions to the European Commission on the ethics of biotechnology.
