31/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - According to Eurostat, the rate of unemployment in the euro-zone was 8.7% last December, unchanged compared to that recorded in November 2000 but 0.9% below that of December 1999. The tendency was the same in the EU15 where the unemployment rate was 8.1% in November and December 2000 and 8.9% in December 1999.
