EP calls on Commission to set common criteria for pricing transport infrastructures according to user-pays principle

Strasbourg, 19/01/2001 (Agence Europe) - By adopting the report by Paolo Costa (Italian. Liberal Group) on Thursday, by 358 in favour, 60 against and 85 abstentions, the European Parliament called on the European Commission to present a "common methodology" so that the pricing of transport infrastructures in Europe may be broached in a comprehensive and uniform manner (see EUROPE of 10 January, p.14).

For MEPs, it is a question of defining common criteria and not of asking the EU to levy...
