Franco-Italian semi-conductor manufacturer STMICROELECTRONICS has signed an agreement aimed at the acquisition of the assets of the consumer electronics business of the American software publisher RAVISENT TECHNOLOGIES. ST will invest $55 million above all to acquire the intellectual property of the "CineMaster DVD" technology, a series of digital audio and video software.
