BARCOVIEW, a division of the Belgian group BARCO, is to acquire the majority of the capital of TEXEN (turnover EUR 28 million expected for 2000 with 140 employed), a subsidiary of the French defence electronics group THALES (former THOMSON CSF). Under the agreement, BARCO will rise to 100% of the capital in two years by acquiring the remaining shares.
