ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banks

The Belgian banking group KBC has announced the launching of a friendly offer for the British business bank PEEL HUNT (turnover £21.3 million for the first half of 2000 with about one hundred employed). The Belgian group is ready to disburse 450 pence per PEEL HUNT share, which brings the total value to £266 million.
