19/12/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commissioner for Transport, Loyola de Palacio, has joined up with the campaigns on the dangers of alcohol when driving launched in France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Let us recall that the Council had rejected a Commission proposal to harmonise the levels of alcohol permitted when driving in Europe, in the name of the principal of subsidiarity.
