Brussels, 02/10/2000 (Agence Europe) - The compromise reached on Saturday between the European Commission and the US Administration on procedures to be followed in the FSC (Foreign Sales Corporation) tax affair has made the risk of a major trade conflict more remote, although the risk is still there.

a) The United States Congress has one more month in which to revise the legislation condemned by WTO. The deadline set was 1 October, but the US Senate has not concluded its deliberations. This...
