18/09/2000 (Agence Europe) - More than 100 MEPs from all groups have supported the candidacy of the Tibetan Ngawang Sangdrol to the Sakharov prize 2000 (that the EP will decide on 26 October and will present on 13 December). Mr Dupuis (Radical), Mann (CDU) and Messner (Green), who presented the candidacy, recalling in a Communiqué that Ngawang Sangrol, aged 24, had been imprisoned for the first time at the age of 13 for having taken part in a demonstration, and that she had been condemned...
