Luxembourg, 18/09/2000 (Agence Europe) - The EU's statistical office, Eurostat, has announced that data relating to August should a halt in the deterioration of inflation. Price increases in the euro zone, that stood at 2.4% in July, dropped to 2.3%, the EU's annual rate as a whole, that was 2.2% in July, fell to 2% in august.
