The Canadian telecommunications group BCE and the media group THOMSON have announced the creation of a joint venture operating in multimedia. BCE will hold 70.1% of the company, THOMSON 20% and WOODBRIDGE, the THOMSON family holding, the remaining 9.9%. The new company is expected to make a turnover of CAD 1.3 billion in 2001.
