GENERAL NEWS / (eu) ep/end of session

19/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - Several British Liberal and Conservative MEPs tried to prevent the votes taking place at Friday's session, but did not secure the required number votes for a quorum. Several votes thus took place, with at times fewer than 50 MEPs present. EUROPE will report on this in its next bulletins.
