Luxembourg, 02/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - Eurostat has put together a first picture of the regional economies of the Central European countries that are applying for EU membership (CEECs). Out of 50 regions, 48 had a per capita GDP below 75% of the Community average during the period 1995-97.
