Commission authorises acquisition of Hoesch Spundwand und Profil Gmbh by Salzgitter AG

Brussels, 02/05/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has authorised the acquisition of Hoesch Spundwand und Profil GmbH, a subsidiary of Thyssen Krupp Steel AG, which operates in the production and distribution of heavy profiles and sheet piling (special hot-rolled steel sections that can be interlocked or clamped laterally), by the producer of flat steel and steel sections, Salzgitter AG. With this acquisition, Salzgitter will control about 15% of the Community heavy profile...
