European Commission placed "recommendations" in undertakings made by Korean and Japanese automobile manufacturers on reductions of CO2 emissions

Brussels, 17/04/2000 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission consigned "Recommendations" on the voluntary agreements concluded between Korean and Japanese automobile manufacturers to reduce the CO2 emissions of new cars sold in Europe. The Korean, Kama, and Japanese, Jama, manufacturers associations undertook to reduce the average consumption of fuel of private cars by 2% by 2008/2009 compared to 1995.
